Our name comes from MAIA, the ancient roman goddess of growth. We were founded in 2008 to provide support and therapy to those who had suffered catastrophic injuries.

Our aim is simple – to help our clients to achieve their goals and to be the best they can be.
Over the years our service has developed, providing occupational therapy intervention, rehabilitation and Expert Care reports across the UK provided us with valuable knowledge of care and therapy practices and providers. This has enabled us to put together the best care packages available using local clinicians and care teams.
Maia Rehab are delighted that we have now been creating and successfully managing care packages for ten years and have secured a core team of case managers, therapists and rehabilitation specialists who we are proud are part of the Maia team. Our professional and friendly team is enhanced by our relationships with local therapeutic and care providers.
Maia Rehab currently have teams in: London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hampshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, The Midlands and Bristol.
Maia Rehabilitation have been working hard to embrace the ‘new’ working practices in order for us to continue delivering first class therapy and support for our client’s during this challenging period.
Below are some of the steps we have adopted to facilitate our service.
1. Carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment
· carried out a risk assessment in line with the HSE guidance
· consulted with your workers
· shared the results of the risk assessment with your workforce
2. Develop cleaning, hand-washing and hygiene procedures
We increased the frequency of handwashing and surface cleaning by:
· encouraging people to follow the guidance on hand washing and hygiene
· provided hand sanitiser around the workplace, in addition to washrooms
· frequently cleaned and disinfected objects and surfaces that are touched regularly
· enhanced cleaning for busy areas
· set clear use and cleaning guidance for toilets provided hand drying facilities
3. Help people to work from home
We helped those people who wanted to work from home by:
· discussed home working arrangements
· ensured they had the right work systems
· included them in all necessary communications
· looked after their physical and mental wellbeing
4. Maintain 2m social distancing, where possible
Where possible, we maintain 2m between people by:
· putting up signs to remind workers and visitors of social distancing guidance
· avoiding sharing workstations
· using floor tape or paint to mark areas to help people keep to a 2m distance
· arranging one-way traffic through the workplace if possible
· switching to seeing visitors by appointment only if possible
5. Where people cannot be 2m apart, manage transmission risk
Where it’s not possible for people to be 2m apart, everything is being done to practically manage the transmission risk by:
· considering whether an activity needs to continue for the business to operate
· keeping the activity time involved as short as possible
· using screens or barriers to separate people from each other
· using back-to-back or side-to-side working whenever possible
· staggering arrival and departure times
· reducing the number of people each person has contact with by using ‘fixed teams or partnering’
