My Story
I have 10 years’ experience as a Case Manager within the litigation process with adult
clients with neurological, spinal and complex orthopaedic conditions which has given me an in depth understanding of rehabilitation, care and equipment provision within the litigation process.
Since qualifying as an occupational therapist in 1998, I have gained considerable experience in the field of neurological and poly trauma rehabilitation working in both the public and private sectors in the UK and Australia.
Since moving to the UK in 2008, I have worked in several settings across the rehabilitation pathway with people with catastrophic injuries including neurological and complex orthopaedic conditions. Prior to leaving the NHS I held the role of clinical specialist occupational therapist for community neurological rehabilitation at Barts Health NHS Trust. During this time, I managed a team of therapists and rehabilitation assistants; and provided clinical expertise in neurological rehabilitation.
In Australia, I worked as an Occupational Therapist on an acute stroke unit and neurosurgery ward, trauma and orthopaedic wards and the brain injury rehabilitation unit at the Wellington Hospital and as a Senior Occupational Therapist in a private
hospital, specialising in neurological rehabilitation
I currently practise as an independent Occupational Therapist working with people with brain injuries as well as providing Case Management services. I also am an independent Expert Witness taking instructions from both Claimant and Defendant firms, for care reports, aids and equipment reports, and Immediate Needs Assessments.
I am a member of Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Association of
Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) and British Association of Occupational Therapy
(BAOT).
I am based in Hertfordshire and coves the Home Counties and North London.
